THE NLRFD Paramedic Class is the first fire department paramedic class of its kind. No other fire department has done this. Paramedics are individuals who complete an 18 month long school with many hours of clinical time at hospitals, ride time with ambulances and countless hours of class time. They are trained to perform invasive procedures such as IV's and intubation. Pictured: NLRFD Fire Chief Jim Murphy, NLRFD Captain Kevin Bemrick, Cody Andrews-Springdale FD, Warren Newman-ATF, NLRFD Lieutenant Mark Shoemaker, Landon Harris-MEMS, NLRFD Firefighter Bryan Thomas, Tyler Castleberry-Maumelle FD, Pate Hamm-Bryant FD and North Little Rock Mayor Joe Smith. Not pictured is NLRFD Firefighter Matthew Hunt. Congratulations.
