Angel Flights is a national organization whose mission is to provide transportation for people in critical medical condition who need treatment not available to them locally. Every year, Angel Flights make thousands of missions, flying rural patients to facilities for the treatment they need. Founded in 1991, Angel Flights has flown more than 35,000 missions and contributed over $35 million in this effort. Their goal is to encourage general aviation pilots to donate their time and skill set to those who are in critical need of treatment, but don't have to means to travel to the medical care facility where the treatment can be provided. The North Little Rock Municipal Airport is proud to have pilots stationed here that participate in the South Central Chapter of this wonderful program. For information on how to volunteer as a pilot, how to donate to this great organization, or how to organize and coordinate medical transport missions, please visit www.angelflightsc.org, or call 888-500-0433.
