Parks and Recreation Department

Located in the center of Arkansas' business and cultural center, North Little Rock offers the most diverse recreation and entertainment venues in the state. Thanks to mild seasonal temperatures, you'll enjoy year-round outdoor activities at places like Burns Park, one of the nations largest municipal parks, with close to 1,600 acres of lighted ball fields, hiking trails, fishing, and a 36-hole championship golf course. Recreational Opportunities abound at North Little Rock's Burns Park as well as Sports Activities along with a unique Urban Equestrian Trail, Scenic River Trail, Emerald Park Mountain Bike, and Multi Use Trails as listed in our Brochure. Mission Statement

To provide efficient, effective and responsive customer oriented recreational and educational opportunities for the residents of and visitors to North Little Rock. To promote a quality of life based on harmony, cooperation, and positive values to aid in the personal growth of our patrons. To achieve and maintain community and national leadership in recreation programming, park and facility development and maintenance, and related leisure services.

Services Provided

Golf, tennis (23 outdoor and 6 indoor courts), family recreation, after school and summer programs, swimming, athletic programs, and camping.

Burns Park Equestrian, and Scenic River Trail along with Emerald Park Mountain Bike and Multi Use Trails.

FUNLAND

  • Opened from April to September
  • Hours of Operation: Friday - 5PM to 8PM
    • Saturday - 10AM to 8PM
    • Sunday - 1PM to 6PM
  • Private Groups are scheduled to be held on Thursday's and Fridays from 10AM to 2PM. Please call and make reservations for your private group
  • Structured Birthday Parties are available
  • Funland Pavilion is available to rent. Please call Funland
  • Funland can be reached at 753-7307 and is located in Burns Park
