Public Information Officer

The Public Information Officer (PIO) for the North Little Rock Police Department is Sergeant Amy Cooper. The PIO prepares news releases, coordinates print and broadcast coverage of agency events, and acts as the liaison between the North Little Rock Police Department and the local and national media at crime scenes and other activities which generate media interest.

It is the policy of the North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD) to cooperate fully and impartially with authorized news media representatives in their efforts to gather factual, public information. The NLRPD will make every reasonable effort, consistent with accomplishing our police tasks, and in compliance with Arkansas State law, in providing members of the media with accurate information as dictated by policy in all matters and dealing with the media on current events. The NLRPD will not release any information that would jeopardize a criminal investigation or infringe upon an individual's constitutional rights. This includes information concerning juveniles or sexual assault victims.

Media Releases

The Public Information Office is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. During weekends and after hours, the Public Information Officer is always on call for emergencies and for significant breaking news events. After hours, the PIO will not have information regarding routine arrests, crimes not resulting in serious or fatal injuries, or non-fatality vehicle accidents. Written records, including arrest reports and general reports, are not available on weekends or after hours.

General Incident Reports

General incident reports may generally be obtained in 3 to 5 business days after the report is taken. The reports can be obtained at the North Little Rock Police Department from the Customer Service window between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The cost of a general report is $1.25. Motor Vehicle Accident Reports 

Motor vehicle accident reports may generally be obtained in 3 to 5 business days after the report is taken. The reports can be obtained at the North Little Rock Police Department from the Customer Service window between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The cost of a motor vehicle accident report is $10.00.
Motor vehicle accident reports may also be accessed and obtained online at www.policereports.us for the price of $12.50.
